Woman didn’t invite her mother-in-law to Thanksgiving because she’s a picky eater

Thanksgiving brings families together for a meal and mutual gratitude, but the holidays come with their stressors, as one Reddit user discovered.

Posting to the “r/AmItheA–hole” (AITA) subreddit, a woman asked for advice about her mother-in-law’s desire to bring her own food to the Thanksgiving table.

She is excited to share her kitchen with her family and that her husband “has been very supportive and helpful throughout all the planning and prep work.”

He’s been preparing for Thanksgiving food for months.

To prepare, she’s been planning a menu and trying out recipes, only to discover that her mother-in-law doesn’t want to eat what she’s making.

Faced with this discovery, she told him mother in law stay at home after the holidays, where she can eat what she wants by herself.

The menu he planned is extensive, including traditional dishes like roast turkey, stuffing, and sweet potato casserole, along with unique dishes like braised short ribs and lasagna with white sauce.

She claims that there must be something on the menu that her mother-in-law could eat if she just tried it.
